These books are rare to find in such good condition, complete, and outside of the Netherlands. They are from the 1930s–40s, richly illustrated with color lithograph plates pasted in by the original owner.
Titles include:
- Waar Wij Wonen (1937, Thijsse)
-Dierenleven in Artis (Portielje)
-De Boerderij (Kuylman)
All plates are present, except two that are on the same page in the Dierenleven in Artis book, as pointed out with the chopstick in the close up photo. Books show moderate foxing and some wear, but the artwork remains bright and well-preserved. These classic albums were issued by Verkade’s Fabrieken, combining nature education with advertising history, and are highly collectible today.
Each book measures 12” tall by 9 1/2” wide.
