Layna Made in Spain Vintage Cloth Hand Made Doll Ballerina in Fishnet Stockings
This is an unusual handmade doll from Spain, I assume was made in the 1960's.
The former owner was an art teacher and had traveled abroad, I assume she brought this back from her travels to Spain.
Most of the other Layna dolls I found in my research were Spanish dancers, I only saw one other ballerina similar to this one.
And the head tilt is common to these dolls.
They are cloth bodies on a wire form.  Most of them are posed on a stand and this one has a wire loop at the bottom of her foot but no stand.  I assume the wire loop is how she was once attached to a base stand.
The face is hand painted.
She stands approx. 9 inches tall.
She is in good condition overall but you can tell she has been handled and maybe played with over the decades.  Her outfit looks a bit dingy and I don't know if it can be cleaned.
